“The Better Hong Kong Foundation” Delegation Visits CPIFA

On May 30, 2025, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) held the Foreign Affairs Journal Dialogue, inviting Mr. Cui Tiankai, Advisor to the Council of the CPIFA and former Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., along with several experts and scholars, to engage in a roundtable discussion with the visiting delegation led by Mr. Ronnie Chan, Chairman of the Executive Commitee of Better Hong Kong Foundation. Prof. Xue Lan, Council Member of CIPFA and Dean of Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University, Ms. Han Hua, Co-founder and Secretary-General of the Beijing Dialogue, and Mr. Zhou Mi, Council Member of CPIFA and Deputy Director of the Institute for American and Oceanian Studies at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation also attended the event. The attendees had a warm discussion on such topics as the current international situation, China’s diplomacy, and how to better communicate China’s stories and Hong Kong’s stories to the world.
The Better Hong Kong Foundation is a non-profit organization established by a group of Hong Kong’s most influential leaders in 1995. It aims to bolster confidence in Hong Kong’s socio-economic development and promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong, Chinese mainland, and the wider world.
The dialogue was moderated by Amb. Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of CPIFA and Editor-in-Chief of the Foreign Affairs Journal. Prior to the dialogue, the Better Hong Kong Foundation delegation took a guided tour of CPIFA’s historic buildings.
