The 9th China-France Young Leaders Forum was held in France from June 12 to 15. Over 50 young representatives from government, business, science and technology, culture, sports and other sectors of the two countries conducted in-depth discussions on China-France cross-cultural exchange, AI ethical regulation, bilateral economic and trade cooperation and other topics.
Mr. Kong Quan, head of the Chinese delegation and former Chinese ambassador to France, emphasized that China and France share a tradition of independence and are both firm defenders of multilateralism and free trade. Under the current international circumstances, the importance of China-France relations has become even more prominent. China has always regarded France as an important partner and stands ready to strengthen cooperation with France to jointly address global challenges, in an effort to inject a stabilizing force into a turbulent world.
The China-France Young Leaders Forum was jointly launched by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the France-China Foundation in 2013, and is held alternately in China and France every year. During this Forum, Madam Naima Moutchou, Vice Speaker of the French National Assembly, and Mr. Deng Li, Chinese Ambassador to France met with young delegates from the two countries respectively.
