CPIFA Vice President Zou Xiaoli Meets with American International Relations Scholar Jessica Chen Weiss

On July 23, Ambassador Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of  Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) met with Ms. Jessica Chen Weiss, an American international relations scholar and Professor of China Studies at School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. Ambassador Zou introduced the history of CPIFA and its exchanges with foreign countries. The two sides exchanged views on China-U.S. relations, people-to-people exchanges, artificial intelligence and other issues of common interest.
Ambassador Zou expressed his hope that Professor Jessica Chen Weiss, as a prominent new-generation American scholar, would play a greater role in strengthening exchanges between the two countries in the strategic and academic fields, and fostering accurate mutual perception. Professor Jessica Chen Weiss responded that enhancing youth communication between U.S. and China is of great significance, and she is willing to promote relevant U.S. institutions to make joint efforts with CPIFA towards this end.
Ms. Jiang Xiaoming, Director General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of CPIFA was present at the meeting.
