CPIFA Vice President Zou Xiaoli Meets with Vice Chairman and Executive Director of the Paulson Institute Deborah Lehr

On July 29, Ambassador Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), met with Ms. Deborah Lehr, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of the Paulson Institute. The two sides exchanged views on China-U.S. relations, Artificial Intelligence, ecological conservation and other issues.
Ambassador Zou stressed that under the current complex and fluid situation, it is crucial for the strategic and academic communities, as well as relevant institutions from China and the U.S. to keep communication channels open, engage in candid exchanges with an open mindset, and learn from each ether's strengths to help reshape our bilateral relationship and the international order. He expressed the hope that the Paulson Institute would continue to play an active role in enhancing China-U.S. communication and mutual understanding. Ms. Lehr said that the Paulson Institute values its exchanges with the CPIFA, and stands ready to jointly explore new models and areas of cooperation.
Ms. Jiang Xiaoming, Director General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of CPIFA and Mr. Jerry Yu, Chief Representative of China Office and Managing Director of the Paulson Institute were also present at the meeting.
