On July 30, Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Craig Mundie, the U.S. Co-chair to the China-U.S. AI Track Two Dialogue and former Chief Research and Strategy Officer at Microsoft. The two sides exchanged views on the development and governance of AI and other issues of common interests. Amb. Cui Tiankai, Advisor to the CPIFA Council and former Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Jiang Xiaojuan, Professor at University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Founding Director of Center for Science & Technology Development and Governance at Tsinghua University, and Former Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, Amb. Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of the CPIFA, and Dr. Zeng Yi, Director of International Research Center for AI Ethics and Governance of the Institute of Automation at Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the meeting.
