On July 30, 2025, the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) held the Foreign Affairs Journal Dialogue under the theme of “A Trip Toward Two-Way Understanding”. The reporting team from The Paper led by Wu Ting, member of The Paper’s editorial board, attended the Dialogue to discuss their recent program of Re-Encounter: Special Reports on the 50th Anniversary of China-EU Diplomatic Relations. The Dialogue was moderated by Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of the CPIFA and Editor-in-Chief of the Foreign Affairs Journal.

The team from The Paper shared the outcomes of and views about their recent reporting activities in Europe. Representatives from relevant CPIFA departments talked about their perspectives on the relevance of people-to-people diplomacy in the new era, and their work in this field. The two sides agreed to enhance exchanges and mutual learning, and play their part to help boost the mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world.
